Post an AnnouncementMembers of the College community can post an announcement after creating an account.
Create an Account
- Sign up as a New User
- Enter a Username and Marietta College Email Address.
Please note...
- The Username is not associated with your college email username, but it is recommended that you register with that name.
Academic and Administrative Departments and Student Organizations
Please email webadmin@marietta.edu to request an account.
College Relations will provide you with a username that you can share with your colleagues. The account can also be used to post new content to your web site.

You will receive an email with your password.
Post a Message
- Log in with your Username and Password
- In the top right menu, click Submit an Announcement
- Complete the fields:
- Title (If applicable: Event: Day, Date)
- Topic (General News, Academic Seminars, Arts, Athletics/Recreation, Events, Meetings, Notices or Volunteer Opportunities)
- Story
- Remember to include the: Event Title, Time, Date and Location.
- Post Mode
- If you plan to include a link to a web site, select “HTML Formatted”
- Click Preview
- Make any necessary corrections and then Click Submit.
A moderator will review the content for accuracy and relevancy to the College community (i.e., announcements that directly affect the campus).
The following types of announcements will not be approved.
- Lost and Found; Registered users are encouraged to post a Lost and Found message to the Classifieds section of the site.
Otherwise, call CPS X4611 or the main office in the building where the item was lost.
- Birth, Death or Illness Announcements; the only exceptions announcements from the President, VP, or Provost Office.
- Sale Announcements, unless it is a College campus club or organizational fund raiser.
- Promotion of petitions, political views, or students campaigning.
- Messages intended to reach specific individuals, e.g., a report of a student missing classes for other activities.
- Announcements containing offensive language.
- Requests for assistance by students to gather information for homework assignments, projects, capstones, surveys.
- Announcements following up a campus fundraiser, i.e., a recap of money raised or participation.
