To add an RSS feed to Thunderbird...

Create an RSS Account

• In the top menu, Click File / New / Account…
• Select RSS News & Blogs
  
• Click Next
• Define the Account Name (Default: “News & Blogs”)
• Click Next
• Verify that the information is correct; Click Finish

A “News & Blogs” folder will appear in the Folders column.

Add the RSS Feed

• Click Manage Subscriptions
• Click Add
• Enter the URL: http://news.marietta.edu/backend/mcnews.rss
  

• (If you would prefer to receive text versions of the announcements,
  check the "Show the article summary..." box.)
• Click OK

To add an RSS feed to Firefox...

Enable the Bookmarks Toolbar

• In the top menu, Click View / Toolbars / Bookmarks Toolbar
  

 

Click the RSS icon in the Address Bar



Or...

• Click this Add the RSS Feed link.
• The Add Live Bookmark window will appear; Click OK.

The news feed will appear in the Bookmark Toolbar.
Click on the bookmark to view the latest announcements.

To change the type of RSS Reader Firefox uses, Click Tools / Options

The RSS feed will update automatically on a regular basis.

To check for the latest announcements, right-click on the toolbar icon and select "Reload Live Bookmark."

To add an RSS feed to Internet Explorer 7...

• In the main toolbar, click on the orange RSS Feed button to view the feeds available on the web page.

 

Add the RSS Link

• Click the Subscribe to this feed link at the bottom of the Campus Announcements box.
